How to Play Letter Boxed

Master the art of word creation with these simple rules!

🎯 Game Objective

The goal is simple: use all 12 letters at least once by forming valid English words. Each word you create must follow specific rules about which letters you can combine.

📦 The Letter Box

You'll see 12 letters arranged around a square box, with 3 letters on each side:

  • Top side: 3 letters
  • Right side: 3 letters
  • Bottom side: 3 letters
  • Left side: 3 letters

📜 Core Rules

1️⃣ No Consecutive Letters from Same Side

You cannot use two letters in a row from the same side. For example, if you pick a letter from the top, the next letter must be from the right, bottom, or left side.

❌ Invalid: Using "AB" where both A and B are on the top side

✅ Valid: Using "AB" where A is on top and B is on the right

2️⃣ Minimum 3 Letters Per Word

Each word must be at least 3 letters long and must be a valid English word recognized by our dictionary.

3️⃣ No Letter Repetition in Same Word

You cannot use the same letter twice in a single word, even if it appears on different sides.

4️⃣ Chain Your Words Together

After your first word, each new word must start with the last letter of your previous word. This creates a chain of connected words!

Example: If you spell "CAT", your next word must start with "T" (like "TEN" or "TOP")
